Getting Started with LapDrop

LapDrop makes device logistics simple for Canadian remote teams. Whether you're retrieving a laptop from a departing employee or shipping a device to a new hire, here's how to place your first order.

Step 1: Create your account

Head to [portal.lapdrop.ca/register]({{ \App\Helpers\PageHelper::registerUrl(['cta' => 'step-1', 'resource' => 'getting-started']) }}) and sign up with your work email. No credit card required to get started.

Step 2: Place your first order

From the portal, follow the six-step order flow:

  1. Devices — Select what you're sending or retrieving and the quantity
  2. Origin — Enter the address where the device currently is (your employee's address for a retrieval)
  3. Destination — Enter where the device needs to go
  4. Shipping — Choose standard or express, and add scheduled pickup or insurance if needed
  5. Summary — Review the order details
  6. Payment — Pay by card. $99 CAD for standard, $149 CAD for express

Once payment is complete, LapDrop handles everything. The employee receives automated instructions and a prepaid, padded return kit ships to their door.
